lo/ovral 28 birth controlBrand Name: Examples include Lo/Ovral and Ogestrel

Generic Name: Norgestrel/Ethinyl Estradiol Tablets (nor-JES-trel/ETH-in-il es-tra-DYE-ole)

Pfizer just recalled Lo/Ovral and its generic equivalent (as of Feb. 3, 2012). Apparently, they put the placebos in with the main pills, causing women who take 3 placebo pills in a row to potentially become pregnant.

I did get a letter saying the were recalling the BC. That being said I have since quit useing it and did get very decressed sex drive and is the main reason why I quit. I also got depressed while using it. I took it for 4 plus years.

I was on Lo/Ovral for 10 years. I didn't gain any weight and only had mild nausea after taking my first active pill each month. My skin was gorgeous. The downside was my mood and over the years I gradually became more depressed and very emotional. And my sex drive was non existent. I stopped taking it and now I'm not emotional or depressed but I have developed acne. I'm looking to try another brand.

Be careful! Pfizer just recalled this because women are getting pregnant!

I actually really like this pill and I don't have any of the side effects listed here from LoOvral. I am regular, barely have periods. I recommend LoOvral to anyone.

I've been on this pill for almost 3 years and have had no problems. My periods have been light and short and I've experienced no side effects.

This pill did a great job at first and kept my periods regular, then i noticed severe mood swings and depression. I stopped taking it when someone mentioned that it did the same to them. Other than that it was pretty good.

I had a lot of side effects with Ovral-L: vomiting, stomach cramps, bloating, nausea, breast pain, tiredness and decreased sex drive.

gained 12lbs on this pill with no change in diet or work out routine, losing weight with change in diet and exercise was nearly impossible.

This pill definitely kept me regular. Unfortunately, it made my life chaotic in other ways. I had severe anxiety attacks and was constantly moody and unhappy. Its amazing that my coworkers and boyfriend didn't kill me. Of course, just because it wasn't good for me, doesn't mean it won't work well for you. we're all made differently.
